Q: Can Young Life of Canada issue IRS tax receipts for US donations?

Yes, be sure to click the US flag before making your gift online or send us a cheque in US funds.

Q: Can I set up monthly donations?

Yes, this is easily done by clicking on the “Recurring Gift” radio button on the donation page or contact the Young Life Office (888-881-6023 ext.0 or donate@younglife.ca) to set up a Pre-Authorized Monthly Donation (PAMD).

Q: What are the advantages of monthly donations?

It’s the most efficient and cost effective way to make regular donations to Young Life. There is no need to worry about forgetting to make a monthly donation. No need to send in cheques or call in credit card donations each month. And it saves money in administration costs.

Q: Do you accept credit cards and which ones?

Yes.  We accept VISA, AMEX or MASTERCARD for online processing.  The same three cards can be processed manually by our National Service Centre for donors who prefer not enter info on-line.

Q: Can Young Life accept the donation of publicly traded securities?

Yes. Gifts of stock and other securities are handled by Richardson GMP Limited in Calgary.  Simply download and complete this simple Stock Gift Form and send it to your broker with a copy to Scott McIntyre at Richardson GMP (scott.mcintyre@richardsonwealth.com) and we will handle the gift in an efficient and appropriate manner.  Once the stock gift is received in the Young Life account at Richardson GMP, you will be issued a tax receipt for the fair market value of the stock as of the date of its arrival.  If you have other questions about gifting securities and the tax advantages, please contact Jon Harris, Development Director (jharris@younglife.ca).

Q: How are receipts produced and distributed?

All donation receipts are produced by our Accounting Department in Langley, BC. If the donation is made via Pre-Authorized Monthly Donation (PAMD), the donor will automatically be placed on our “annual receipt program”. This means that each donation will be recorded on a monthly basis and detailed on one total receipt which will be mailed to the donor by mid February of the following year.  One time donations are receipted the month following the donation and a receipt will be mailed 6-8 weeks after the donation.

Q: Does Young Life provide eReceipting for online donations?

Yes. After successfully making your online donation, you will be taken to a response page with a download link for your eReceipt. As well, an email notification will be sent to the registered email that includes a secure link to your eReceipt. If you are also on the “annual receipt program” and have also made off-line donations, you will receive a separate receipt. If you made an online donation but did not receive your eReceipt, please email donate@younglife.ca.
